Celeste Fig

Favorite of the Gulf Coast. Most cold-hardy of the group of figs. Sometimes refered to as the Sugar Fig Tree. Small to medium, light brown and violet skin with a sweet rich flavor, Large vigiorous and productive tree, however, pruining may reduce crop. Zone 7-10. Chill hours of 100 with a low temp of 0F. Ripens late July. Fresh figs have a short shelf life and are better preserved by drying or jam.
