(Mid-Season) The most widley grown apple in the US. High yeilding and fast growing; needs full sun and tends to produce every other year unless properly pruned. Large, waxy, dark red fruit with a mild sweetness, fine grain, tender crisp and juicy middle. It does require cross pollination. Zones 5-8, chill hours 800; Ripens late September to October.
